Stablecoin Transition in the WEMIX3.0 Ecosystem

The dollar-based stablecoin in the WEMIX3.0 ecosystem will transition from WEMIX$ to USDC.e by 2025, and the WEMIX$ service will be discontinued.
[USDC.e]
USDC.e is a digital asset implemented on the WEMIX3.0 mainnet, based on Circle’s bridged USDC standard and Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). It enables USDC issued on the Ethereum network to be used within the WEMIX3.0 ecosystem.
[Expected Benefits of the Transition]
USDC.e is a reliable bridged asset utilizing a burn-and-mint mechanism with USDC, one of the most widely adopted global stablecoins. Beyond WEMIX3.0, it supports interoperability with other major chains connected through CCIP.
Enhanced interoperability is expected to increase accessibility for new users, support global expansion of the WEMIX3.0 ecosystem, and encourage increased on-chain activity by existing participants. Expansion to additional CCIP-supported chains is also planned.
[Transition and Service Discontinuation Process]
The transition is scheduled for completion within 2025. Once the necessary steps have been securely executed, the WEMIX$ service will be terminated.
1. Liquidity Transition
On-chain liquidity in WEMIX$ will be replaced with USDC.e, with USDC.e liquidity supplied in advance to ensure stability. WEMIX$ liquidity provided by the Foundation will then be withdrawn, and liquidity pools paired with WEMIX$ (including WEMIX and major game tokens) will be converted into USDC.e pairs.
A detailed schedule for each step will be announced separately.
2. Conversion Support for Holders
Conversion of WEMIX$ to USDC.e will continue to be supported through WEMIX$ Module even after the discontinuation of the WEMIX$. Holders will be able to convert WEMIX$ into an equivalent amount of USDC.e at any time through the module.
The transition will be carried out with a focus on stability and is expected to contribute to the continued growth of the WEMIX3.0 ecosystem.
