Amid the growth and evolution of the blockchain industry, NFTs have received enormous attention as a leading asset alongside cryptocurrencies due to their non-fungible unique property. However, while traditional NFTs have succeeded in the so-called ‘sold-out’ due to temporary interest and trends driven by project teams, lack of consensus on their utility and value as assets has led to a continuous decline in value; thus leading buyers to suffer losses and even raise skepticism regarding the vision of NFTs.
NILE emphasizes three values of NFT
Consecutively, the NILE team has identified three main values that exist in NFTs.
The foremost value lies in the utility that the NFT possesses. To determine whether an NFT has Utility Value, the following question must be asked: “Will owning this NFT enhance my life”. If the answer is “yes”, then the NFT is deemed to have Utility Value.
Second is the Appreciating Value which refers to the value of an asset which subsequently grows or increases steadily over time. While there are ‘wasting assets’, where the value is limited and irreversibly declines over time, and ‘depreciable assets’ that gradually decrease in value over time, we expect the value of NFTs as assets to grow steadily over time. If you anticipate that the price of your NFT will increase after a year, you are expecting an increase in its Appreciating Value.
Finally, the Premium Value. NFTs intersect with the economic system and the ecosystem to add value as a form of ‘social capital’. They can also gain significant value due to factors such as the reputation of a creator, external changes and other intangible elements that cannot be quantified. Premium Value is a new form of value that is not based solely on its utility or monetary worth, but rather on its mere existence and ownership.
Neith Station, the beginning of NFTFi
NILE introduces the World’s first trustless NFTFi that removes the need for valuation appraisal. The Neith NFT is based on the Appreciating Value of the asset, Neith Covenant, and incorporates both Utility and Premium Value, allowing the community to utilize the stability of NFTs in DeFi.
