WEMIX PLAY Swap/Pool Begins Currently 21 game tokens are being actively traded on WEMIX PLAY, making up healthy liquidity for the ecosystem. The main form of trading on WEMIX PLAY currently is through the order book, and the medium of exchange is pWEMIX(FKA WEMIX credit). There are two inconveniences when using the pWEMIX-based orderbook DEX available currently on WEMIX PLAY. First is associated with the price volatility of pWEMIX. If there is a price variance of pWEMIX, all previously listed game tokens must undergo revaluation and be relisted with new Buy/Sell order prices which reflects the correct trade value. Secondly, it is relatively more difficult to carry out transactions on an order book-based DEX. Transactions are not completed if a new sell order at a lower price is placed. Under such circumstances, one must remove the initial sell order and apply a lower price for token transaction to be executed. This mechanism also hinders buyers in the same way, and therefore, users are expected to manually monitor their BUY/SELL order prices to effectively transact tokens through the WEMIX PLAY order book DEX. In order to resolve such difficulties associated with token trading on WEMIX PLAY, the Swap/Pool service will be implemented. Each of the game tokens on WEMIX PLAY will form an individual swap pool paired with pWEMIX$, and users can immediately swap between the pairs according to the ratio of the asset pairs. Since pWEMIX$ is used as a medium of transaction, users and game tokens are unaffected by the price volatility of WEMIX, and pWEMIX$ which reflects market price in real-time enables more convenient transactions which leads to enhanced user experience. Furthermore, by participating as an LP(Liquidity Provider) depositing game tokens and pWEMIX$ into swap pools, participants are able to earn a 60% share of the 1.5% transaction fee which formulates to 0.9%. However, it is important to take into consideration that the ratio of initially deposited assets may change due to the nature of swap pools, and impermanent loss is a potential risk factor for all participants. In the case where a particular game’s tokenomics becomes unstable, there is a likelihood of one-way swap transactions to take place. In such a scenario, pWEMIX$ volume within that pair pool may be significantly reduced and result in a disproportionate state. To compensate for these situations, order book DEX on WEMIX PLAY will operate parallel to the WEMIX Play Swap. The gas fee formulation of WEMIX3.0 is based on the variable gas fee formula, and is classified into two categories; Base Fee and Priority Fee. The default value of the base fee is 1wei(*), and the maximum value is 50,000Gwei. The base fee is calculated with every block through a standard formula, and is currently being burned in real time. * 1 wei = 0.000000000000000001 WEMIX The Priority Fee is a concept applied with the adoption of EIP-1599, and is equivalent to incentivizing(tipping) NPCs for validating higher cost transactions. Users can set a priority fee when submitting a transaction; but in such a high-performing environment of WEMIX3.0, transactions are not processed faster despite setting a priority fee. The default value of the priority fee is 100Gwei(*). * 100 Gwei = 0.0000001 WEMIX Through implementation of the gas fee burn policy, the WEMIX team will ultimately burn all gas fees of WEMIX3.0 including priority fees. Through a network update, all priority fees currently sent to the Maintenance Wallet will be automatically transferred to the Dead Wallet to be burned. As of December 1st, 2022, the accumulated 1,777 WEMIX resulting from gas fees based on block 3,666,008 will be burned by transferring it from the Maintenance Wallet to the Dead Wallet. We will burn all additionally accumulated gas fees through periodic transfers prior to the network update completion. Although the accumulated priority fee thus far may not seem substantial, we believe as the experience-based, platform-driven & service-oriented mega-ecosystem WEMIX3.0 will soon reach a meaningful volume through the organic growth of the ecosystem. The gas fee burning policy corresponds with the current Phase 1 of WEMIX3.0 Roadmap, and is expected to change as we proceed into Phase 2 via PMR reformulation and potential modification of general gas fee policies in line with the growth of the ecosystem.
