WEMIX Mass Burn To Deflationary Tokenomics WEMIX pursues Deflationary Tokenomics. Deflationary Tokenomics is based on a decrease in the amount of tokens issued as time goes by. However, if this is attempted solely by burning tokens, it then lacks the concept of growth and would potentially result in apportioning of the fixed value among the remaining tokens. In other words, a genuine Deflationary Tokenomics must revolve around a concept that synergizes the value of growth(inflation) and supply reduction(burn) by burn exceeding inflation, resulting in a healthy expansion overall which also directly impacts the value of the tokens through deflated token supply. In the early stages of growth, the amount of burned tokens in proportion to use cases and transaction volume are relatively low. Considering that the block reward(PMR) is constant during this stage, this results in an Inflationary Tokenomics. However, as the ecosystem grows and the amount burned matches the block reward rate(break even block) or exceeds the plateau point(golden cross), we effectively achieve Deflationary Tokenomics. The reason for WEMIX pursuing Deflationary Tokenomics is not a temporary measure or a means to overcome the recent situation. Deflationary Tokenomics is not a short-term action but rather a long-term vision based on growth. The strive for Deflationary Tokenomics is the essence of what WEMIX3.0 was designed to achieve ever since its inception. Time is required in order for WEMIX to reach an effective Deflationary Tokenomics stage. This time should not simply be a continued sequence of events but a ‘time of growth’. WEMIX PLAY Swap/Pool Begins Currently 21 game tokens are being actively traded on WEMIX PLAY, making up healthy liquidity for the ecosystem. The main form of trading on WEMIX PLAY currently is through the order book, and the medium of exchange is pWEMIX(FKA WEMIX credit). There are two inconveniences when using the pWEMIX-based orderbook DEX available currently on WEMIX PLAY. First is associated with the price volatility of pWEMIX. If there is a price variance of pWEMIX, all previously listed game tokens must undergo revaluation and be relisted with new Buy/Sell order prices which reflects the correct trade value. Secondly, it is relatively more difficult to carry out transactions on an order book-based DEX. Transactions are not completed if a new sell order at a lower price is placed. Under such circumstances, one must remove the initial sell order and apply a lower price for token transaction to be executed. This mechanism also hinders buyers in the same way, and therefore, users are expected to manually monitor their BUY/SELL order prices to effectively transact tokens through the WEMIX PLAY order book DEX. In order to resolve such difficulties associated with token trading on WEMIX PLAY, the Swap/Pool service will be implemented. Each of the game tokens on WEMIX PLAY will form an individual swap pool paired with pWEMIX$, and users can immediately swap between the pairs according to the ratio of the asset pairs. Since pWEMIX$ is used as a medium of transaction, users and game tokens are unaffected by the price volatility of WEMIX, and pWEMIX$ which reflects market price in real-time enables more convenient transactions which leads to enhanced user experience. Furthermore, by participating as an LP(Liquidity Provider) depositing game tokens and pWEMIX$ into swap pools, participants are able to earn a 60% share of the 1.5% transaction fee which formulates to 0.9%. However, it is important to take into consideration that the ratio of initially deposited assets may change due to the nature of swap pools, and impermanent loss is a potential risk factor for all participants. In the case where a particular game’s tokenomics becomes unstable, there is a likelihood of one-way swap transactions to take place. In such a scenario, pWEMIX$ volume within that pair pool may be significantly reduced and result in a disproportionate state. To compensate for these situations, order book DEX on WEMIX PLAY will operate parallel to the WEMIX Play Swap. Liquid Staking Begins During Phase01, WEMIX3.0 allocates 10% of the minting rewards to WEMIX Stakers. The community stakes their WEMIX in Grand Staking to earn rewards. The principal and the rewards from Grand Staking during Phase01 cannot be withdrawn until Phase02. Grand Staking is attractive as it increases the value of WEMIX by reducing the circulating volume through a strong lock-up effect, but it is also true that it requires careful consideration due to limited liquidity. To resolve this issue, WEMIX.Fi has launched the Liquid Staking service. By staking WEMIX into Liquid Staking, instead of Grand Staking, stakers will receive liquid tokens called stWEMIX(Staked WEMIX). stWEMIX includes WEMIX rewards generated in Grand Staking(stWEMIX=staked WEMIX+Grand Staking reward*90%). In due course, the amount of WEMIX that can be exchanged with stWEMIX in Phase02 will increase. Having successfully concluded a review of the terms of use, the WEMIX foundation will aim to complete onboarding with Binance Custody this coming week. The voice of our community and investors have indicated the need for custody of WEMIX, and in response, the Foundation has been in close communication with various global leaders in the blockchain custody services industry. As a result, we have decided to securely custody WEMIX via Binance Custody Services. WEMIX Foundation is working towards storing all foundation-owned WEMIX into custodial wallets to facilitate an asset management system centered around improved security and absolute transparency. The total supply of WEMIX excluding the burned amount based on on-chain data is 1,037,346,971 and approximately 76.4% is currently uncirculated. The total number of WEMIX that will be secured through Binance Custody amounts to 728,421,748.45(*); approximately 70% of the total supply which makes up 92% of the total uncirculated supply. From the uncirculated supply of WEMIX, some are bound to smart contracts on-chain while some are non-transactable WEMIX owned by external entities based on lock-ups and agreements with the Foundation, and these will not be included in the total custodied volume. *The exact custody volume will be updated post-onboarding process. Looking back at the recent incident involving WEMIX being flagged with an “Investment Warning” by the Digital Asset eXchange Alliance(DAXA) on October 27th 2022, and the unilateral decision by DAXA on November 24th 2022 to irrationally terminate transaction support for WEMIX, the Foundation recognizes the need to implement measures that can prevent similar occurrences in the future that may bring harm to our community and investors. Among the various policies that had been planned, we will first introduce the implementation of gas fee burn. Gas fees are designed to protect networks including WEMIX3.0 from high volume of meaningless transaction spams or malicious DDoS attacks, and are also used as an indicator to distinguish important and urgent transactions by the validators. The gas fee formulation of WEMIX3.0 is based on the variable gas fee formula, and is classified into two categories; Base Fee and Priority Fee. The default value of the base fee is 1wei(*), and the maximum value is 50,000Gwei. The base fee is calculated with every block through a standard formula, and is currently being burned in real time. * 1 wei = 0.000000000000000001 WEMIX The Priority Fee is a concept applied with the adoption of EIP-1599, and is equivalent to incentivizing(tipping) NPCs for validating higher cost transactions. Users can set a priority fee when submitting a transaction; but in such a high-performing environment of WEMIX3.0, transactions are not processed faster despite setting a priority fee. The default value of the priority fee is 100Gwei(*). * 100 Gwei = 0.0000001 WEMIX Through implementation of the gas fee burn policy, the WEMIX team will ultimately burn all gas fees of WEMIX3.0 including priority fees. Through a network update, all priority fees currently sent to the Maintenance Wallet will be automatically transferred to the Dead Wallet to be burned. As of December 1st, 2022, the accumulated 1,777 WEMIX resulting from gas fees based on block 3,666,008 will be burned by transferring it from the Maintenance Wallet to the Dead Wallet. We will burn all additionally accumulated gas fees through periodic transfers prior to the network update completion. Although the accumulated priority fee thus far may not seem substantial, we believe as the experience-based, platform-driven & service-oriented mega-ecosystem WEMIX3.0 will soon reach a meaningful volume through the organic growth of the ecosystem. The gas fee burning policy corresponds with the current Phase 1 of WEMIX3.0 Roadmap, and is expected to change as we proceed into Phase 2 via PMR reformulation and potential modification of general gas fee policies in line with the growth of the ecosystem.
